Reactive Tails

Transform Reactivity into Calm!

Our 5-week dog-to-dog Reactivity Programme is a comprehensive training and behavioral plan designed to address your dog’s reactivity towards other dogs. Over four weeks, you’ll participate in weekly online group sessions and in-person training to tackle this challenge step by step, then on week 5, we’ll go out on a public dog walk to see how you can put all your skills into practice.

We’ll explore the causes and triggers of your dog’s reactivity, teach you how to help them cope in the future, and guide you in reshaping their responses to stressful situations. Along the way, we’ll focus on practical management strategies to support you while we address the root of the behaviour.

Punishing emotional displays may suppress the behaviour temporarily, but it doesn’t address the underlying emotions driving it. This course is designed to target and transform those core struggles, helping your dog feel calmer and more confident.

We do offer payment plans for this course, let us know if you would like to discuss this. This course has a £50 deposit.

What do people say about this course?

Me and my dog, Luca, took part in the Furry Tails reactivity course with Rachel this year, and found it really fun and engaging!

I had a little bit of prior knowledge regarding reactivity, as we have had Luca for close to three years now & have managed it as much as possible for that time. However Rachel introduced some new techniques that we hadn’t previously implemented, and which we found incredibly helpful and effective. We have continued to use them regularly on our walks together.

Tools & techniques were all really well explained, both during the in-person sessions and also on the zoom calls (which we could access again at a later date if we wanted to review any information provided). We were also emailed information sheets which held useful & interesting information on how to approach reactivity & training.
The group sessions were really fun and engaging, and I always felt that these were safe & well managed. Rachel was fantastic with both the guardians & the dogs, and we all took lots away from the sessions.

I would really encourage anyone with a reactive dog to take part in these sessions, it really helps build a strong bond with your dog & enjoy walks together even more ☺️

Thank you to Furry Tails & Rachel for your help & support!
